On behalf of the 1,800 kids who participate in the various MUSC programs, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped with this very successful fundraiser. We had set a lofty goal of $50,000 and we exceeded this goal with the hard work and dedication of everyone.
If you missed the evening's festivities, then you really missed a great event. We had great food from 18 of Montclair's best restaurants paired with great craft beer from Brooklyn Brewery, fantastic wines from T. Edward Wines, and fabulous scotch/whiskey from Pernod Ricard. Additionally, we gave away 17 raffle baskets (e.g. Wine & Dine, Pamper Yourself, Train with your Favorite Ashley's Trainer), had a silent auction where we gave away a Wii, Yankee tickets, USA v Argentina tickets, sports memorabilia, original artwork and a Persian rug amongst many other things, and also held a live auction giving away a chance to be on the pitch with David Beckham and all-expense paid trips to Chicago, Lake Tahoe, and Ashley's Sleepaway Camp. Over 300 people attended our inaugural event and plans are in the works for our 2nd annual in 2009.
What can you do if you were unable to attend? Well the best thing you could do is patronize those who supported us! Without the help of the following companies, we would not have reached our goal. Please take a close look and consider your choices in the future.
